took place October 2nd - 7th, 2005 in Duesseldorf, Germany

INTERCULTURAL AND INTERFAITH COMMUNICATION
Seminar celebrating the 10th anniversary of the SIPCC
in the completely modernised Hotel- and Congress-Centre "Mutterhaus" situated on the campus of the historical and well renowned "Kaiserwerth Diaconia" in Düsseldorf-Kaiserswerth .
Ten years ago at the Main Hall of the "Mutterhaus" ('Motherhouse' of the Kaiserswerth Deaconesses) the founding assembley of the "Gesellschaft für Interkulturelle Seelsorge und Beratung - Society for Intercultural Pastoral Care and Counselling / SIPCC e.V." took place.

With this Seminar the SIPCC intended to collect ideas of intercultural and interfaith communication for finding some new aspects of a hermeneutics for the practice of pastoral care and counselling in a multi-cultural and multi-faith world.
Colleagues who have been connected with the SIPCC and the International Seminars over the years and other experts were invited, to join into the discussions to this issues and to deliberate how intercultural and interfaith exchange can be developed further in a more and more differentiated world, where dialogue is more needed than ever before.
The Seminar has been focussing on four main subjects:
· Living in multicultural and multi-faith societies
· Intercultural competence
· Inter-faith communication
· New perspectives for care and counselling in multicultural and multi-faith contexts
