Austausch April 2011
The weekend with our Englisch guests
Last weekend was very exciting because our Englisch exchange students stayed at our homes. We spent an interesting time together and enjoyed lots of thrilling moments.
On Saturday, most of the boys went to the swimming pool and had a lot of fun. Lots of the girls went shopping to Saarbrücken or somewhere else. Some others went to "Klotten" to visit the theme park. We all had a great day.
At 8 pm there was a second party at the "Azert Hütte" near Schweich.
We all were really happy to see all the other Englisch and German students again. Our parents prepared a barbecue for us and we talked to the Englisch students and danced to the music. After this, we were really tired. On Sunday some girls had a brunch at the "Wirtshaus" in Trier. It was delicious and they had a good time there. In the afternoon all families did different things, e.g. go shopping, watching basketball, visiting a butterfly park and a lot more. All of us had a fantastic weekend with our exchange partners.
A trip to the „Teufelsschlucht“ An interview with Sara Naisar, Joschka Böhm and Felix Bisdorf
Hello Sara, Joschka & Felix, when and where did your trip actually start?
Sara: We started at 8 o`clock with two different coaches which were waiting in front of the school. One for the English students and one for us.
Alright. And how long was the trip?
Joschka: It took us about 45 minutes from Schweich to Irrel where the “Teufelsschlucht” (“devil’s gorge”) can be found.
And when you arrived, what did the teachers told you to do?
Felix: First, the mother of our classmate Moritz, who works there, gave every group, mixed with English and German students, a GPS set with which we had to find the way to a treasure.
And how long did you hike trough the “devil‘s gorge”?
Sara: About an hour but the weather wasn’t really good so lots of groups went back to the visitor centre.
At the end, did you find the treasure and what was it?
Joschka: We got some sweets and the main treasure was a stone, so called “Devils toenails.”
What did you do after visiting the “devil’s gorge”?
Felix: We went back to the bus and drove to the “Westwall-Bunker”. It’s a bunker of World War II.
Was it exciting?
Sara: Well, for some it was interesting. I think it wasn’t because our guide and the bunker were boring. We only could see white walls and only a few traces of the World War II.
But you had fun, or not?
Joschka: Yes, we had. And because of the party on Saturday, the English and German students were mixed up and so it was really nice with them.
Thank you very much for the interview!
Wednesday 13.04.2011: Bowling
On Wednesday in the evening, nearly everyone went to the Bowling Centre in Trier because it was our last evening together. Most of the students spent the hours before in the city, went shopping and bought some last gifts before we finally met at the Bowling Centre at 5 pm.
We reserved 5 bowling alleys and on each alley 10 people could play. While some of us were bowling, the others played table soccer or air hockey. Almost everyone started that evening with mixed feelings, because everyone was sad that the English friends had to leave the next day but everyone also wanted to have a good last night so it was quite an awkward atmosphere. Many of us went through the Bowling Centre and took some last photos with our new friends. At the end we all had a lot of fun and when we finished bowling after 2 hours some of us went to “Pizza Hut” where we met Dennis, a very cool waiter.
Austausch April 2008

07.04.2008
Was? Schon Montag?
